2016 Remodeled Homes Tour
The 2016 Remodeled Homes Tour is the greater Seattle area’s premier home tour with 15 showcase homes available for touring Saturday, October 8th and Sunday October 9th. Participants can view some of the best home renovations from around the region and see first-hand the most innovative design concepts in remodeling today. This free, family-friendly event is presented by Dunn Lumber and the Masters Builders Association with a charity partnership with Rebuilding Seattle Together. Donations for the local, nonprofit group will be accepted, and all tour proceeds will go toward free home repairs for Puget Sound area neighbors in need.
Midvale Home Presented by CRD Design Build
The Midvale House showcases some of CRD Design Build’s trademark remodeling concepts, including green building materials and features and a completely remodeled basement that has been converted in to an accessory dwelling unit. In the upper unit, aside from the gourmet kitchen with attractive stainless range hood and eat-in peninsula bar, touring guests will find special features like dual, built-in medicine cabinets with interior lighting and a rear mirror as well as a fully-wet master bathroom with modern soaking tub, tile shower, heated tile floors and under-vanity lighting.
To create the lower accessory dwelling unit, CRD Design Build excavated the existing basement to allow for tall, 8’ ceilings and a beautiful space that feels bright and open. The lower unit includes stacked, floor-to-ceiling Bellmont cabinetry, egress windows, and a large, windowed door with interior blinds among many other unique features.
