Tips for Making a Foyer Useful for Many Purposes

Why not make your foyer a little more functional?
CRD Staff

The foyer area of the home is often a space that isn’t given too much thought. Homeowners tend to decorate enough to create a positive first impression on guests, but that’s as far as it goes. Why not take it a little further and make your foyer a little more functional? The following are a few tips that will help you do just that:

  • Seating – Place a comfortable bench in your foyer in order to allow guests to sit down and remove their shoes if they wish. A bench works best since it allows you to store your shoes below it.
  • Dresser – A large dresser near the entrance will provide you with a place to keep things that you need when you head out of the house, such as your purse, wallet, keys, and more.
  • Gear section – Divide the foyer space with a screen where you can set up shelving and a rack to hold your bike, bike gear, and all of your athletic equipment.

Use these tips to help make your foyer more functional. For additional remodeling ideas for your Seattle home, be sure to contact us at Conner Remodeling & Design today.
