Meet Dave, one of CRD’s lead carpenters. His interest in the building industry was sparked by his father, who was an all-around handyman, and his grandfather, a carpenter who helped build several Seattle-area schools. Dave got his start in the building industry as a union carpenter. After completing four years of apprenticeship training, he made the jump from commercial to residential projects and has never looked back.
“What I like best about building and carpentry is creating new things for people,” he says. “I like to better their lives.”
The most surprising job he’s ever had was to remodel rock star Steve Miller’s house. Dave is also a bit of a gearhead. He has a collection of classic Chevy cars, which he restores and displays at car shows.
