It was a race for more space. A mother and her two young daughters loved the location of their Fremont home, but it was simply getting too cramped as the kids grew up. The solution was to completely finish the basement into a comfortable and stylish living area that includes a new full bath, a laundry area, a large bedroom, and a playroom. To make the low-ceilinged basement feel airy and bright, we leveled the floor and used light-colored paint and a well-designed lighting plan. Our client chose durable materials, such as wood-look marmoleum flooring. Traditional shower tile and plumbing fixtures give the bathroom an air of sophistication and help tie the design in with the rest of the home.
