Guest Haven

It started as a typical Seattle basement: dark, unfinished, and not very functional. Our client came to us to transform it into a comfortable suite for her parents and other guests. The result is a clean and modern space that makes the most of the available natural light. We moved the furnace to make room for a luxurious bathroom with grab bars and other universal-design touches. This lower-level living space features fresh drywall, paint, and trim, as well as durable, eco-friendly Marmoleum flooring throughout. The new laundry closet has built-in folding space and linen storage. All-new lighting and HVAC keeps things fresh and inviting.

A tale of two entries

This home's entry offered no protection from the rain and presented a drab appearance to the street. Our clients wanted a dry and welcoming stairway, and that's what we designed. The new entry features a generous gabled roof with wide overhangs that boosts the home's curb appeal tremendously.
